The Town of Ponoka is bringing a new free concert series to Lions Centennial Park this summer, with live music every Tuesday evening from July 7 to August 25, 2026. The Summer Sounds series runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and features local musicians, food trucks, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
The first concert on July 7 features Red Deer singer and guitarist Steve Arsenault, who previously toured as lead guitarist for Canadian country artist George Canyon. On July 14, award-winning Ponoka singer-songwriter Shalaine Stebner takes the stage. Stebner won bronze at the International Singer-Songwriter Association awards in Atlanta, Georgia.
The series continues every Tuesday through late August. July 21 brings Gerry and JoLynn Bradshaw, followed by Mark Cruz on July 28, Justin Sutton on August 4, Jasmyn Wright on August 11, a dueling piano performance with Cam Hinton and Randi Boulton on August 18, and the Educators on August 25.
Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the shows. Food trucks will be on site during each concert. The full lineup and details are available on the Town of Ponoka events calendar.
