Families at E.J. Dunn Elementary School in Port Alberni, British Columbia, will have an opportunity to browse and purchase new reading materials during the school’s annual book fair taking place April 22-23, 2026.
The event is running from 11:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on both days. Because these afternoons coincide with scheduled parent-teacher learning update meetings, students will only attend classes in the morning. Students must be accompanied by an adult during their visit to the school, located at 3500 Argyle Street.
School officials note that the afternoon timeframe is the only opportunity for families to shop at the fair.
E.J. Dunn Elementary, which is part of School District 70 Pacific Rim, operates on the traditional territories of the Tseshaht and Hupacasath First Nations. Beyond daily classes for students from Kindergarten to Grade 7, the building serves as a community resource by hosting The Family Hub, which provides various family support services.
