The Alberni District Fall Fair has announced that Vancouver-based country music artist JoJo Mason will serve as the Saturday night headliner for its 81st annual event in Port Alberni, British Columbia.
The fair, which takes place from September 4 to September 7, 2026, at the fairgrounds on Hollywood Street, will feature Mason in a dual role. Attendees will get an early look at the performer when he opens the show on Friday, September 5, at 7:30 p.m. He is then set to take the stage as the main attraction on Saturday, September 6, from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Mason, who has been active in the Canadian country music scene since roughly 2015, has achieved significant success with six Top 10 tracks, over 50 million career streams, and a Gold certification from Music Canada for his single Better On You. His career accolades also include multiple nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association and the 2022 British Columbia Country Music Association award for Entertainer of the Year.
This year’s entertainment offering marks a continued tradition for the community event, which was established in 1945 on the traditional territories of the Hupacasath and Tseshaht First Nations. The fair regularly brings national talent to the Alberni Valley, following 2024’s headlining performance by the rock band Prism.
