Port Alberni families can now sign up their children for the upcoming soccer season. Alberni Athletics Soccer Club opened registration for its 2026/2027 programs on June 15, 2026, giving local youth a chance to join the community’s recreational soccer program.
The club’s main Community House Soccer program runs from September through March or April and welcomes players from under-five to under-eighteen. Boys, girls, and co-ed divisions are all available, with a focus on fun and skill-building for every level of experience. Full details and sign-up forms can be found on the registration page of the club’s website.
“House soccer is the foundation of our Club, providing a fun, inclusive, and developmental environment for players of all skill levels,” the club states on its program page.
Meanwhile, the current Friday Night Spring League for players aged U14 and older continues at Bob Dailey Stadium, with the final session on June 19, 2026. The spring league, which started May 8, costs $105 per player and includes a training shirt. It gives older boys and girls a chance to keep playing after the regular house season wraps up.
As part of the Alberni Valley’s hosting of FIFA World Cup 2026 celebrations, in partnership with Hupacasath, Tseshaht, and Huu-ay-aht First Nations, the soccer club also ran a youth clinic on June 12 and will hold another on July 19, 2026.
