The 20th edition of the Battle of the Prairies is returning to the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan, on Friday, May 1, 2026. This amateur boxing event features a series of matches in an Olympic-style competition held within a theater setting.
The showcase serves as the main yearly fundraiser for the Lonsdale Boxing Club, which uses the money to support local training and athletic programs. Led by president and founder Frank Fiacco, the club has organized this formal dinner show for two decades to highlight regional boxing talent.
According to Boxing Canada, the 19th edition of the competition took place on May 9, 2025. This year’s milestone event continues the tradition of bringing a high-production amateur sport showcase to the local community.
Tickets for the matches went on sale in mid-March 2026. Residents can attend the evening event to see local athletes compete while supporting community sports initiatives in the city.
