The Regina Police Service has charged four people in a homicide investigation that began after a traffic stop in Regina, Saskatchewan, earlier this year. The investigation started on January 19, 2026, when officers tried to pull over a vehicle near Saskatchewan Drive and Albert Street just before 3:00 a.m.
The vehicle involved in the stop drove away from police, but the RPS Aerial Support Unit was able to track it from the air. The police plane located the vehicle abandoned in the 1400 block of Princess Street, where officers discovered the body of 56-year-old Michael Norman Ross in the trunk.
Between January 22 and February 4, 2026, police arrested and charged four individuals in connection with the case. According to police reports, those charged include 33-year-old Shyla Keewatin, who faces a first-degree murder charge, and Dillon Michael Myslichuk, who is charged with accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a body. Two other men, aged 26 and 30, also face charges in relation to the death.
The case is now moving through the legal system following the police pursuit and the subsequent discovery in mid-January. All four suspects have made initial appearances in Regina Provincial Court.
