The Roughriders earned the title on November 16, 2025, with a 25-17 win over the Montreal Alouettes. This victory marked the fifth Grey Cup win in the history of the football team and was their first championship in 12 years.
Organizers say the celebration is a way to connect the football organization with the farmers and rural residents who make up a large part of the fan base. The trophy will be on display for visitors to see during the visit to the exhibition grounds.
