The Regina Food Bank is looking for new volunteers to join its Flex Squad program in Regina, Saskatchewan, as of March 04, 2026. This initiative is designed for residents who want to support local food security efforts but cannot commit to a regular weekly routine.
The organization distributes 13,000 lbs of food every day to local households, schools, and community partners. Members of the Flex Squad will receive emails about one-time or unique volunteer opportunities that fit their personal availability.
This effort comes after the food bank supported 22,638 unique individuals across more than 67,000 households during the 2024–2025 period. By offering more flexible roles, the team hopes to maintain its daily operations without requiring rigid time commitments from busy community members.
To participate, volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work at the main warehouse on Winnipeg Street. Those who wish to help at the ASAHTOWIKAMIK Community Food Hub on Broad Street must be at least 18 years old.
Kishwar Bipasha, the food bank’s volunteer coordinator, manages the bookings for these roles. Interested residents can sign up to help the team reach its goal of providing steady support to the thousands of people who rely on their services each year.
