Physicist and television personality Professor Brian Cox will bring his new world tour, Emergence, to the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina on May 16, 2027. The show, which the author and broadcaster describes as his most ambitious live production to date, explores how complex structures throughout the universe—ranging from snowflakes to entire galaxies—emerge from simple laws of nature.
The presentation features collaboration from scientists, musicians, filmmakers, and graphic artists, and utilizes advanced sound, lighting, and large-scale LED screens to illustrate concepts from cosmology, biology, and history. The event is set for Sunday, May 16, 2027, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.
This stop at the 2,031-seat main theatre is part of a broader Western Canada tour. Brian Cox, who holds a chair at the University of Manchester and has presented science programs for over 15 years, previously set records with his Horizons tour. That production sold 369,297 tickets between August 2022 and May 2025, earning recognition as the best-selling science tour for the fourth time.
Tickets for the Regina performance range from $82.40 to $127.57 for regular seating, with Platinum Seating options available from $101.82 to $179.07. Tickets went on sale to the public on May 1, 2026.
