Regina’s annual celebration of Saskatchewan creativity returns on Saturday, June 20, when the Bazaart Makers Market takes over the grounds of the MacKenzie Art Gallery at 3475 Albert Street. This year marks the 53rd edition of the outdoor art, craft, and design fair, which has been a prairie tradition since 1973.
Presented by SaskTel, the event brings together more than 100 artists and makers from across the province. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, visitors can browse handmade creations ranging from fine art and jewelry to home decor and one-of-a-kind gifts. The market takes place outdoors surrounding the MacKenzie Art Gallery, with free admission to the Gallery itself during the event.
Admission is $5 for MacKenzie members and $7 for non-members, with children 12 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the gate (cash only). Every ticket sold supports the Gallery’s exhibitions and public programs, making Bazaart the institution’s largest annual fundraiser.
Beyond the vendor booths, the day includes a hands-on workshop with artists Geanna Dunbar and Amber Phelps Bondaroff, live performances by New Dance Horizons, and a Banderita Art Workshop led by MacKenzie artist-in-residence Patrick Fernandez. A patio café run by Craft Services Café by Café Français will serve food and drinks, and Bike Regina will provide bike valet service for those who pedal to the event.
