Residents in Regina, Saskatchewan, can help local wildlife this year by volunteering at a long-standing native plant garden at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. The local group Nature Regina is looking for people to join its maintenance crew to care for over 100 species of native plants from spring through fall of 2026.
The garden was first established in 1994 and serves as an important home for local pollinators like bees and butterflies. It is located at the museum entrance and acts as a central spot for people to learn about the flowers and plants found in southern Saskatchewan.
Volunteers on the maintenance crew will meet every Tuesday morning to perform hands-on work in the garden. These tasks include planting new flowers, weeding, and keeping the habitat healthy for local insects.
