The warm spell is set to continue through Wednesday, with highs of 19 C on both Tuesday and Wednesday under sunny to partly cloudy skies. A cooling trend arrives Thursday, with cloudy skies and a high of 12 C, and Friday brings rain with highs dropping to 7 C.
No weather alerts are currently in effect for the Rimbey area. However, Ponoka County Regional Fire Services has had a fire advisory in place since May 2026. Under the advisory, burning permits are issued on a case-by-case basis only, and residents are encouraged to avoid non-essential burning until the area receives more moisture.
The warm and dry conditions make it a good week for outdoor activities, but officials remind residents that the fire risk remains elevated.
