The Salt Spring Island Sailing Club released its boating schedule on March 10, 2026, to help local sailors plan their group trips for the upcoming year. This plan outlines several community events on the water for residents of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, and surrounding areas.
The 2026 schedule includes four main trips starting in April and running through September. These excursions usually last for three nights and take boaters to nearby spots such as Wallace Island, Montague Harbour, and Victoria’s Inner Harbour.
Experienced club members will host the trips, which focus on shared experiences like group potlucks and exploring local harbours together. Steve and Melinda Broughton will lead the first two outings in April and June, while Lori Johnson and Iain Pennington will host the July trip. Gillie Hutchinson is set to host the final event in September.
While the spring and summer dates are confirmed, the club is still finalizing the details for the final trip in September. Members who want to join a sail or learn more about the destinations can check the proposed cruise schedule or contact the club organizers to sign up.
