The StageCoach Theatre School on Salt Spring Island is preparing for its 2026 summer camp season, with registration for 12 different programs set to open on July 1. These summer offerings cover a variety of performing arts disciplines including musical theatre, improv, filmmaking, dance, and puppetry for students aged three and up.
A highlight of the upcoming summer lineup is a two-week musical theatre intensive for students aged 12 and older, which will focus on staging the production of Legally Blonde. Families interested in enrolling students in multiple programs can contact the school to inquire about available discounts.
Operating out of 130 Castillou Way, the school is a registered charity and a non-profit society that has served the island community since its founding in 1999. Current Artistic Director Christina Penhale oversees the school’s programming, following the 15-year tenure of former director Adina Hildebrandt. The organization continues to benefit from ongoing support from partners including the Salt Spring Island Foundation, Country Grocer, and the provincial government through BC Gaming.
