On March 4, 2026, several political leaders met at the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery in Sarnia, Ontario, to tour the facility and discuss the importance of local arts. Provincial representative Steve Pinsonneault joined Lambton County Warden Kevin Marriott for the visit, which also included staff representing federal representative Marilyn Gladu and provincial representative Bob Bailey.
The group viewed current exhibitions at the gallery, including a photography collection by Larry Towell that covers forty years of his work. The visit was intended to highlight the ongoing partnership between government officials and cultural institutions that help drive development in the Sarnia-Lambton area.
The gallery is a public institution owned and operated by the County of Lambton and is located in the restored Thom Building downtown. It serves as a central hub for the city’s cultural district and regularly features famous Canadian art, such as works by the Group of Seven.
