A two-vehicle crash at the corner of Indian Road and London Road North in Sarnia, Ontario on Friday, May 29, 2026, left two people with minor injuries and sent one driver running from the scene before police caught them a short distance away.
Sarnia Fire Rescue and Sarnia Police Service were called to the collision late in the afternoon. Emergency crews found two damaged vehicles and confirmed that two people had been hurt, but their injuries were not serious.
Police say one driver tried to run away, but witnesses quickly shared details with officers, leading to an arrest after a brief chase.
The intersection was blocked for several hours so crews could remove the vehicles and clean up the crash site. As of 7:30 p.m., the intersection remained closed, affecting the evening commute.
The intersection reopened later that night, and there were no further safety concerns.
