Registration is now open for the 9th annual Sarnia Sting Charity Golf Tournament, an event that raises money to support local children and youth. The tournament will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club, with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start.
Presented by Green for Life Environmental, the event raises funds for Pathways Health Centre for Children. This organization provides care for over 5,000 children and youth in the Sarnia-Lambton area each year, offering support for physical, developmental, and communication needs.
Golfers can register in groups of four for $1,400. This fee covers 18 holes of golf, use of a power cart, a barbecue lunch during a pre-tournament social, and a prime rib dinner served after the round. Participants also have the option to register as a group of three, which allows them to be paired with a current Sarnia Sting player or team alumni.
The annual tournament has been a significant contributor to the organization, having raised over $100,000 for local programs since it began. All proceeds from this year’s event will go directly to support the health centre.
This tournament is one of the many initiatives supported by the Sting Assists Community Fund, which has donated over $465,000 to the community since 2022. Alison Morrison, CEO of Pathways Health Centre for Children, noted that the partnership with the hockey team has been a meaningful way to support youth in the region through volunteerism and fundraising.
