Families in Spruce Grove are invited to attend the Connect & Play Family Fair at Brookwood School on May 30, 2026. The free event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is designed to help local parents connect with community resources while providing an afternoon of entertainment for children.
Organized by the Parkland School Division, the carnival aims to promote early education opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to explore an Early Education classroom, which offers play-based learning and specialized support for children between the ages of 2 years 8 months and 4 years 8 months who have been identified as having moderate to severe delays or diagnoses.
Children can enjoy a variety of activities, including face painting, games, balloon animals, and sensory play. The event also features special guest appearances by Elsa from Frozen, Marshall from Paw Patrol, and Rumi from KPop Demon Hunters. Food trucks will be stationed outside the school for those looking for a bite to eat.
Several community partners will be on-site to provide information and support to families. These include Autism Edmonton and the Alberta Parenting for the Future Association, as well as experts from Family Life Psychology, Functional Therapy, and school division speech-language pathologists. Brookwood School is located at 460 King Street in Spruce Grove.
