Students in Spruce Grove and across the region can now register for summer school programs through the Parkland School Division. The division is offering academic paths for both elementary students in grades 1 through 6 and high school students in grades 10 through 12.
For students finishing grade 9 this year, the division has opened specialized summer courses through Connections For Learning. These programs are intended to help incoming grade 10 students get a head start on their high school education by earning mandatory credits before the fall term begins.
High school summer classes are primarily hosted at Connections For Learning in Stony Plain, with additional programming at Memorial Composite High School and Spruce Grove Composite High School for courses that require specialized equipment or facilities. Registration for these high school programs opened on April 7, 2026, and will remain open until June 19, 2026. Classes are set to run from July 2 to August 7, 2026, excluding weekends.
While the school division is expanding its reach, Forest Green School, located in Stony Plain, continues to serve students from kindergarten to grade 6. The school is currently identified as a priority for future modernization and expansion in the district’s capital plan, with an estimated cost between $12 million and $16 million.
