The Spruce Grove Farmers Market is preparing to welcome the community back for its next session on April 11 and April 12, 2026. Residents can visit the market at 50 Westwind Drive inside Heavy Metal Place, with doors open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on both days.
Organized by the Spruce Grove and District Agricultural Heritage Society, the event continues a long-standing tradition in the region. The market first began operations in 1977 and is now entering its 49th year of connecting local growers, makers, and entrepreneurs with the public.
Shoppers can expect to find a variety of items, including fresh local produce, handmade crafts, and homemade baked goods. The market also offers coffee and popcorn, with food trucks occasionally providing additional options, including vegetarian and vegan selections. Heavy Metal Place, where the event is hosted, is a multi-purpose recreation and culture facility that opened in the community last year.
Looking ahead, the organizing society is preparing to launch a new initiative called Market at the Elevator starting May 2, 2026. This new market will take place at the historic Grain Elevator site on Railway Avenue. The society is currently encouraging vendors to apply for the upcoming season and participate in these community events.
