The Senior Girls Basketball team from Spruce Grove Composite High School (SGCHS) has officially qualified for the 4A provincial championships being held this weekend in Lethbridge, Alberta. This achievement marks a major milestone for the SGCHS Panthers after a season of athletic dedication and skill on the court.
The tournament is organized by the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association (ASAA) and takes place from March 19 to March 21, 2026. Students from the high school, which is part of the Parkland School Division, will represent their community against other top teams from across the province.
The school has publicly celebrated the news to encourage community support for the student-athletes as they travel south for the competition. Reaching this level of competition is a point of pride for the local school and provides the players with the opportunity to play in a high-pressure environment outside of their local division.
