The Ste. Anne Splash Park at Redemptorist Park will close for the season on September 21, the Town of Ste. Anne has announced. The facility, located at 6 Charriere Rd along the Seine River, has been a summer staple for families since 2016. Its regular hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily during the summer, but no reopening date for 2027 has been set.
The splash pad opened in 2016 with the help of $62,400 in federal funding, alongside a skateboard park. Over the past 10 years, it has become a popular spot for local kids and families. The town has been planning upgrades for the facility, with the public works department preparing a budget for fixture replacements. Those improvements could affect when the park reopens next year.
The park has also dealt with recurring vandalism, including broken components and damage to washrooms and picnic tables. The town previously asked residents to report any suspicious activity to police. This seasonal closure is typical for outdoor water facilities in Manitoba as temperatures drop in the fall.
Residents can check the Town of Ste. Anne website for updates on the splash park’s operating season and any future announcements.
