Stettler families can enjoy two free ongoing activity options at the Stettler Public Library continuing this summer, with sessions resuming June 16, 2026. The library is hosting Something Cool After School for younger children and a Dungeons & Dragons program for teens, both at no cost to participants.
Something Cool After School runs Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 PM, giving school-aged kids a place to enjoy exciting activities right after class. The program has been a staple at the library since at least 2022, with crafts, games, and other hands-on fun.
For older kids and teens, the library hosts a Dungeons & Dragons night every Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Open to ages 13 and up, the sessions are led by library staff member Jasper and focus on imagination, strategy, and storytelling. The first session after the summer break on June 16 runs until 7:50 PM.
Both programs are free, and library memberships are also free for residents of the Town or County of Stettler, thanks to municipal support. The library is located at 6202 44 Ave and is a member of the Parkland Regional Library System, a network of 49 libraries across central Alberta.
“To provide fun and engaging experiences and diverse resources for the young, and the young at heart, in a safe and welcoming environment,” states the library’s mission. With these programs, families have more ways to connect and play this summer without stretching their budgets.
