The Stettler County Fair and Rodeo returns for its 2026 edition from July 27 to August 1 at the Stettler District Agricultural Society grounds at 4516 52 Street in Stettler, Alberta. The week-long event features free admission, with tickets needed only for select premium rodeo shows.
After being gone since the 1990s, the fair made a big comeback in 2024 and has only grown. Attendance jumped from 1,200 people in 2024 to more than 1,600 in 2025. Organizers expect even more visitors this year as the fair becomes a key event for the region.
This year’s lineup includes Zeke Thurston’s Xtreme Broncs Challenge, the Saddle Bronc Futurity, and Beau Cooper’s Level Up Roping. The rodeo action doesn’t stop there: heavy horse pulls, a ranch rodeo, and a junior beef show are all on the schedule. Families can check out the poultry show, with a workshop on July 31 and the main show on August 1, plus a bench fair and a free pancake breakfast.
Zeke Thurston, a four-time world champion and six-time Canadian champion saddle bronc rider from Big Valley, brings his broncs challenge back to his home area. The poultry show has become a standout, with entries more than doubling last year from 80 coops to 193 coops. That kind of growth shows how the community is embracing the fair’s return.
The fair is more than a good time—it’s a boost for the local economy. In 2025, the event raised nearly $59,000. The Stettler District Agricultural Society, founded in 1907, welcomed over 30,000 people in 2025 across all its agricultural events.
