Residents living on a section of Perth Street in Stratford, Ontario, will experience a temporary power outage on Monday, April 20, 2026. The interruption is required to allow Festival Hydro to conduct essential infrastructure upgrades in the area.
The power is expected to be off for approximately one hour, starting at 9:00 a.m. The work will impact sixteen specific residential addresses, including 47, 51, 52, 55, 58, 59, 62, 63, 64, 67, 68, 71, 72, 75, 77, and 78 Perth Street. Impacted residents were notified of the upcoming work on Friday, April 17, 2026.
According to the utility provider, this outage is necessary to support an overhead pole line rebuild project currently underway for Perth Street and Taylor Street. This work is part of the company’s broader infrastructure improvement plan scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
Festival Hydro provides electricity to roughly 22,500 customers across seven municipalities, including Stratford. The company manages routine maintenance to ensure the reliability of its electrical distribution systems.
