The Downtown Stratford BIA is inviting dog owners to Market Square on Thursday, June 4, 2026, for the 4th Annual Dog Show, a free community event running from 4 to 6 p.m.
The show features eight competitive categories for pooches, including Best Dressed, Smiliest Dog, and Most Unusual Trick. Owners can also enter their dogs in the Old Timer, Youngest Pup, Waggiest Tail, Dog Most Like Its Owner, and All Dogs on Deck contests.
This year brings several new activities. Sculpt & Sweat, a local movement studio founded by Julia Blowes and Jaimie Henderson, will lead two Pooch & Pilates sessions at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., where owners can do floor pilates alongside their dogs. Professional photographer Selena Jones of Fresh by Selena will offer photo shoots for pups and their parents by donation, with proceeds going to the Stratford Perth Humane Society.
For those looking to add a furry family member, K9 Safe Space, a foster-based rescue from St. Mary’s that has helped dogs in need since 2021, will be on hand with adoption opportunities.
The event is backed by 16 local sponsors, including The Barkery, Pure Pets, and Black Swan Brewing Co., showing strong community support for the annual tradition.
