Stratford residents have a full lineup of community events to enjoy on Saturday, August 8, 2026, including free swimming at Lions Pool and a youth disc golf tournament at Marsh Pond Park. The Stratford Sunday Market also returns the following day at Market Square behind City Hall.
Free swimming runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Stratford Lions Pool, sponsored by CleaverBrooks as part of the City of Stratford’s summer swim program. No registration is needed, and all ages are welcome.
On the same day, young disc golfers gather at Marsh Pond Park for Nikko’s Drive Stratford, a stop on the Ontario Disc Sports Association’s 2026 Little Hyzers Junior Tour. The PDGA C-tier tournament has divisions for boys and girls aged 6 to 18, giving local youth a chance to compete on the park’s nine-hole course.
The Stratford Disc Golf Club, which hosts a 20-week recreational league for all skill levels, welcomes new players and families to come out and watch the action.
The weekend wraps up Sunday with the Stratford Sunday Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Market Square at 1 Wellington Street. The free-admission market features local farmers, makers, and artisans, and runs every Sunday until October 18.
