Led by Community Resource officer Const. Aaron Mounfield, the seminar will provide guidance on necessary documentation, daily trip inspections, and load security. The initiative is designed to educate the community on how to meet provincial standards set by the Ministry of Transportation, helping drivers avoid potential fines for non-compliance.
While the session is currently full, with all 60 registration spots claimed, the police service often uses these educational efforts to complement their ongoing road safety strategy. These sessions are intended to reduce safety hazards before vehicles ever hit the road by ensuring operators are well-informed about equipment and maintenance rules.
The Stratford Police Service has a history of conducting joint roadside enforcement blitzes with provincial partners.
