The Town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta is looking to fill eight open positions with applications due between August 31 and September 9, 2026.
Four of the jobs are with the Family Resource Network and Youth Services. These include three Child, Youth and Family Program Lead roles and one Program Facilitator. These positions are part-time and grant-funded by the Government of Alberta until June 30, 2028. The Town is also hiring a full-time Municipal Enforcement Manager. This role pays between $51.15 and $61.08 per hour for a 37.5-hour work week. The manager will oversee Municipal Enforcement Services and supervise Community Peace Officers, Bylaw Officers and administrative staff, while also serving as an active Community Peace Officer. Applications close on September 8, 2026.
Three recreation positions are also open: Concession Attendant, Food and Beverage Server, and Facility Attendant, with a September 9, 2026 application deadline.
This hiring push comes as Sylvan Lake continues to grow. The town’s population reached an estimated 17,897 in 2025, a 13.4% increase over the past five years. In 2024, about 671,000 visitors spent an estimated $67.4 million in the community. The 2026 municipal budget also added four seasonal bylaw officers focused on lakeshore enforcement.
