The Town of Sylvan Lake has opened its 2026 Laker Feedback Survey, inviting all residents to share their thoughts on local services and community priorities. The survey runs from September 3 to October 16, 2026, and the results will be presented to Council at a regular meeting.
Feedback collected through the Engage Sylvan Lake portal will help guide the Town’s 2027 municipal budget planning and measure progress toward Council’s 2026-2029 Strategic Plan.
The 2025 survey drew a record 584 responses, more than double the previous year. Top concerns included lakeshore management, bylaw enforcement consistency, roads and maintenance, customer service, and tax sensitivity. Those themes will likely remain central as the Town prepares its next budget.
The survey launch comes as Sylvan Lake deals with a council vacancy. Councillor Jas Payne announced his resignation on September 3, 2026, after 13 years of service, triggering a by-election within 120 days.
Residents can complete the survey online through the Town’s engagement portal until October 16.
