Residents of Vermilion can trade plants, seeds, and gardening supplies at the annual Fall Community Plant Swap on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The free event runs from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the basement of the Vermilion Public Library at 5001 49 Avenue.
Gardeners are invited to bring houseplants, nursery plants, cuttings, heirloom seeds, bulbs, roots, plant pots, fertilizers, and soil mix to swap with others. No registration is needed, and people of all ages are welcome.
Organizers say the swap is a chance to connect with fellow gardeners, share tips, and save money by trading plants instead of buying new ones. Any items left over at the end of the event will be given away for free, even to people who did not bring anything to trade.
