Lakeland College’s sold-out Feast on the Farm raised $96,000 to support student-led learning, the college announced on August 27, 2026. The ninth annual event, presented by Cenovus Energy, took place August 13 on the Vermilion campus farm.
The evening brought together alumni, industry partners, donors, and community members for dinner, live entertainment from Cole Martin, and a student panel where current students shared how hands-on learning has shaped their education. The event was emceed by Lakeland alumni.
Since 2016, Feast on the Farm has raised over $526,000 and funded more than 50 student-led projects. Examples include the Student-Managed Farm, Border Beauty Showcase, Emergency Training Centre equipment, international study trips, and student tax clinics.
This is the fifth consecutive year Cenovus Energy has been the presenting sponsor. The company has made significant contributions to Lakeland College, including a $2 million investment for campus upgrades and $650,000 for Indigenous services.
The record-setting $96,000 total tops the $89,500 raised in 2025, reflecting growing community support for experiential education at Lakeland College.
