The Vermilion Public Library is bringing back its annual book sale October 5 to 7, giving residents a chance to stock up on reading material for fall and winter while supporting local library services.
The sale runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day at the library, located at 5001 49 Avenue. On Monday, October 5, and Tuesday, October 6, all items are priced at $1. On Wednesday, October 7, visitors can fill a bag or box for $5.
All proceeds from the event go directly toward funding library programs, services, and operations for users in Vermilion and the surrounding County of Vermilion River.
The library is accepting donations for the sale until September 14. Donors can bring books, movies, and reusable bags, but the library cannot accept textbooks, magazines, VHS or cassette tapes, or damaged and musty materials.
The Vermilion Public Library has served the community since its founding in 1931, originally started with just 113 books. More details about the sale are available on the library’s book sale page.
