Parents and caregivers in Wainwright can now sign their kids up for Fall 2026 swimming lessons at the Wainwright and District Communiplex after the Town of Wainwright Parks and Recreation Department opened registration this week.
The fall session kicks off September 14 with multiple schedule options. Families can choose twice-weekly classes on Mondays and Wednesdays in two sets, one starting September 14 and the other October 26, or once-weekly classes on Tuesdays beginning September 15 or Thursdays beginning September 17, all running through late November. An additional Fall Mini Set of five lessons at half the regular price is set for December 2 to 16.
Lesson fees range from $52.50 for most youth levels, including Aquatot for ages 1 to 3, up to $125 for Bronze Star and Medallion certification, which also requires a $40 manual fee. Adult beginner classes are priced at $70.50. The town reminds parents that anyone with children aged 3 and under must be in the water with them, and each child can only be signed up for one class per set.
Advance registration is required at the Communiplex, located at 700 – 2 Avenue. Cancelling or transferring with more than three weeks’ notice comes with a $15 administration fee, while less than one week’s notice means being charged the full amount. No refunds are issued after half of the lessons are finished.
With spots filling quickly, the department suggests signing up soon to avoid missing out. For more details or to register, call the Communiplex at 780-842-5508 or view the full Fall Swimming Lesson Schedule online.
