Wainwright residents will enjoy a couple of sunny days this week before a more unsettled pattern moves in, with a slight chance of showers tonight and increased cloudiness by Sunday, according to Environment Canada.
Wednesday afternoon sits at 21.3°C with a mix of sun and cloud and gusty northwest winds. Thursday will be a mix of sun and cloud with a high near 18°C, while Friday will be sunny with a high of 21°C. Lows will dip to around 9°C overnight.
Saturday stays sunny with a high of 22°C, but conditions begin to change Saturday night. Sunday and Monday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, though temperatures remain comfortable near 21°C to 22°C. No rainfall amounts are given yet, but the forecast points to a change in the weather pattern.
No weather alerts are in effect for the area. Earlier this week, wind warnings covered parts of central Alberta, but those have since ended. This stretch of weather is typical for early August, when the region averages daytime highs of 23°C.
The forecast is based on observations from the CFB Wainwright weather station.
