The Town of Westlock and local company Wabash Mfg. Inc. are offering a free public swim for families this Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Westlock Aquatic Centre. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and gives residents a chance to enjoy the pool at no cost during the busy summer season.
Wabash Mfg. Inc., which has operated in the community since 1981, is sponsoring the evening. The company employs about 90 to 100 people and is known for manufacturing custom fluid hauling tanks, trailers, mining support equipment, and rural fire tender units. This event is part of the company’s ongoing support for the community.
The Westlock Aquatic Centre features a 6-lane pool, a climbing wall, a zero-depth entry, and a splash park area, making it a popular destination for kids and families. The centre also has a hot tub, dry sauna, and a 24-hour gym.
Regular pool hours are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The facility is located at 10605-104 Avenue and can be reached at 780-349-6677 for more information.
This free swim falls during the active season of the Westlock Gator Swim Club, which runs from May 1 to mid-August. It highlights the pool’s role as a key summer gathering spot for residents.
