The annual Stouffville Ribfest is returning to Memorial Park in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, for a three-day celebration from August 7 to August 9, 2026. As the town’s signature summer event, the festival offers free admission and features a wide range of food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
Organized by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, the festival has been recognized as one of the best in the province by Festivals and Events Ontario, which included the event in its Top 100 list. Attendance has climbed steadily over the years, with recent festivals drawing between 50,000 and 52,000 visitors to the Memorial Park grounds.
This year’s event is expected to showcase award-winning rib teams, which in past years have included Fat Boys, Sticky Fingers BBQ & Company, Texas Rangers, and Uncle Sam’s Smoke House. Alongside the food, attendees can visit a marketplace, enjoy live entertainment, and explore options from local breweries such as Muddy York Brewing Co., Town Brewery, Craft360, and Ace Beverage. Families can also visit the dedicated kids zone, which includes midway rides.
The festival hours are tentatively set for 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, based on previous years’ schedules. To manage the high volume of visitors, the town typically implements road closures, including the stretch of Burkholder Street from Park Drive to Franklin Street. Attendees are encouraged to utilize overflow parking, which has previously been available at local schools throughout the weekend.
