The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has launched its Spring 2026 recreation season, with the majority of programs getting underway the week of March 30, 2026. Residents can now participate in a wide variety of activities offered through the Spring 2026 Play Book, ranging from fitness and swimming to specialized children’s sports.
Mayor Iain Lovatt noted that the latest edition of the playbook offers an array of programming designed to suit residents of all ages and interests. Among the offerings are Playball programs that introduce preschoolers to a variety of sports including soccer, hockey, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Specialized programs for individual sports such as basketball, tennis, and volleyball are also available for children and youth.
Programs are hosted at several town facilities, including the Whitchurch-Stouffville Leisure Centre at 2 Park Drive, the Stouffville Clippers Sports Complex at 120 Weldon Road, and the Stouffville Arena at 12483 Ninth Line. The Leisure Centre also serves as a hub for the community, housing the local public library and the Latcham Art Centre, while the Clippers Sports Complex provides two ice pads for skating and hockey activities.
Registration for these programs opened on February 24, 2026. Residents can continue to sign up for available spots online at townofws.ca/active or by calling 905-642-PLAY (7529). Please note that individuals living outside of the town are subject to a 20 per cent surcharge when registering for programs.
