Youth performers from across the region are returning to Stouffville this summer as Ovation! Performing Arts Academy brings its annual showcases to the 19 on the Park theatre on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
The Richmond Hill-based studio, which serves families throughout York Region, will host two separate events at the 152-seat heritage venue located at 19 Civic Avenue. The first performance, STAGEStruck 2026, begins at 1:30 p.m. and is a 60-minute showcase featuring students from acting, singing, dancing, and musical theatre classes.
Later that evening at 7:00 p.m., the venue will present That’s A Wrap! 2026. This 120-minute event highlights film projects created by students in screen acting and voiceover classes. The film showcase is produced by Bonnie Craig and directed by Andrew Fantasia.
The return of these performances to the community follows a period of local recognition for the academy. In November 2025, partners Bonnie Craig and Chris Madsen accepted the Community Group of the Year Award at the annual Markham Performing Arts Awards for the studio’s long-standing impact on the community.
The 19 on the Park theatre, originally constructed in 1896, has operated as a fully restored arts and entertainment venue since 2009.
