A social media post is claiming that the police are looking for help to find a missing man, Calvin Tai, who was last seen in Sidney, British Columbia, on March 15, 2026. Mr. Tai was reportedly last seen in either the Sidney or Sooke areas and may have mental health concerns that require attention.
The notice, which was shared by Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers, asks anyone with information to call the Nelson Police Department at 250-354-3919. Residents can also provide information by using the police report number 25-46.
As of March 16, 2026, there are no official records or other news reports that confirm a missing person search is actually underway for this individual. The request for the public to contact a police station located in the interior of the province for a person last seen on Vancouver Island is also considered unusual.
