The Town of Sidney is hiring for two new full-time union positions, a Major Crime Disclosure Clerk and a Finance and Customer Service Clerk, offering pay rates from $34.91 to $42.59 per hour.
The Major Crime Disclosure Clerk position pays $42.59 per hour and supports the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP Detachment’s Major Crime Unit. Applications for this role close on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
The Finance and Customer Service Clerk position pays $34.91 per hour and involves cashiering, processing property tax payments, utility bills, and accounts payable. The review of applications for this position will begin on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Both positions are regular, full-time roles represented by CUPE Local 374 and include an excellent benefits package. The Town of Sidney currently employs approximately 97 to 103 municipal workers, with all non-management positions covered by CUPE Local 374 or IAFF Local 5282.
