The St. Thomas Police Service arrested two people on March 20, 2026, after a fraud investigation led officers to search homes in Fingal and Springfield, Ontario. This criminal investigation began after police received a complaint from a member of the public.
Kali Robinson-Bobier and Chelsea O’Connor were taken into custody without any trouble and are being kept in jail until they can appear in court. During the searches, officers seized several items and have now finished their work at both properties.
The Ontario Provincial Police helped with the investigation because that force typically handles police duties for the Municipality of Central Elgin. Authorities reported a heavy police presence in the area during the searches but confirmed there was no immediate danger to the public.
One of the people arrested, Robinson-Bobier, was previously charged in late 2023 with several fraud-related crimes. In that previous case, she was accused of using fake identity documents to get loans and credit from several different banks.
The current case is still being investigated by local officers. The investigation is currently listed under file number ST26004268.
