A new creative hub called MyCOMX opened at 781 Main St E, Unit 22, in Milton, Ontario, this week to offer residents a mix of comic books, toys, and music. The store provides a local destination for hobbyists after a similar shop in the area closed its doors last year.
The shop carries major comic titles from publishers such as Marvel and DC, while also featuring clothing, art, and a music rehearsal space. Owner Scott Graham, a local artist and writer, designed the space to be easy for customers to browse so that items are not tucked away in storage bins. The store also includes interactive elements for families, such as a Spin the Wheel activity for visitors.
Graham was inspired to start the business by his 12-year-old son, William, whose own passion for art encouraged his father to build a place where the community could be creative. Beyond selling merchandise, Graham intended for the shop to bring different parts of local culture under one roof, including a space where musicians can practice.
This new business arrives as the area continues to be one of the fastest-growing communities in the country, with the Town of Milton projecting the population will reach over 400,000 residents by 2051. The opening follows a strong year for the industry, as comic book sales grew by 30 per cent throughout 2025.
