The Town of Amherstburg, Ontario, will close a section of Fryer Street on Friday, March 27, 2026, to allow crews to complete work on the local sewer system.
The closure will run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM between Gibb Street and Simcoe Street. While the road is closed to through traffic, residents will still be able to access their own driveways throughout the day.
Drivers can also still get to the parking lot at North Star High School, which is located nearby at 330 Simcoe Street. The town says the work depends on the weather and may change if conditions are poor.
