The PEI Mutual Festival of Small Halls is set to wrap up its 2026 season with a special closing performance at the historic Kings Playhouse in Georgetown on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
The event, titled A Closing Fit for Kings, will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This matinee show is part of a broader festival running from June 12 to June 21, which includes over 40 acts across more than 30 shows held in community halls throughout the province.
The lineup features several notable performers, including the Juno Award-nominated Newfoundland folk band Rum Ragged, blues artist Joce Reyome, and Cree fiddler Tre Sutherland, who will be joined by Ray Knorr and Kevin Chaisson.
Located at 65 Grafton Street, the Kings Playhouse holds a significant place in the community. As Canada’s longest consecutively running theatre with origins dating back to 1897, the venue has a resilient history, having been rebuilt and reopened in 1984 following a fire in 1983. The theatre, now part of the Town of Three Rivers, seats between 287 and 300 people.
