Residents in Milton should prepare for a chilly start to the day as flurries and strong winds move through the region this morning, April 7, 2026. While conditions are expected to clear by the afternoon, temperatures remain significantly colder than average for this time of year.
According to Environment Canada, the forecast for Milton includes a 40 percent chance of flurries during the morning hours. Strong northwest winds gusting up to 60 km/h will create wind chill values near -13, making it feel much colder than the actual daytime high of 2 degrees Celsius. There are currently no weather alerts in effect for the area.
This cold snap, which meteorologists describe as a “third winter” following a stretch of mild spring weather, has brought temperatures about 8 to 10 degrees below seasonal norms for early April. To stay safe in the freezing conditions, Halton Region Public Health recommends that residents dress in multiple layers, including wind-resistant outer gear, hats, gloves, and scarves.
