The Leduc and District Senior Centre is inviting the community to visit historic Telford House this weekend for its annual garage sale fundraiser. The event, which serves as the centre’s largest fundraiser of the year, will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Located at 4907 46 Street in Leduc, Alberta, the fundraiser is open to all residents. Proceeds from the sale will directly support the various programs and services offered by the centre for local seniors aged 50 and older. These programs include music jam sessions, exercise and yoga classes, and a variety of games such as bridge, floor curling, and darts.
Telford House, the site of the sale, is a landmark building named after Robert Taylor Telford, the city’s first postmaster and a key early resident who later served as MLA and mayor. While the City of Leduc owns the building and maintains the exterior grounds, the senior centre manages the interior operations and programs within the historic space.
As a registered charitable society, the centre provides ongoing social and recreational opportunities for the community. Residents interested in learning more about the centre or the upcoming event can contact the office at 780-986-6160.
