The Sylvan Lake Wranglers, a Junior B hockey team in the Heritage Junior Hockey League, concluded their 2025-2026 season with a strong showing and a focus on community support at the NexSource Centre.
The team finished the regular season with a 25-8-3 record, securing third place in the North Division. Under the leadership of general manager Pat Garritty and head coach Lloyd Cox, the Wranglers maintained a competitive presence throughout the year, supported by title sponsor Tech Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd.
While the team successfully defended their standing as one of the league’s most historic franchises—having earned five league championships and three provincial titles—their playoff run ended in the North Division Final against the Red Deer Vipers. The Red Deer team later advanced to face the Medicine Hat Cubs, who ultimately secured the league championship.
The Wranglers continue to be a staple of local sport in Sylvan Lake, building on their notable 2025 championship victory. The organization remains focused on its long-standing history of developing talent in Alberta as they look toward future seasons at their home arena.
