The Amherstburg Chamber of Commerce is preparing to host its 21st annual Business Excellence Awards, with tickets now available for the community event taking place on May 7, 2026. The celebration will be held at the McGregor Columbian Club, located at 9560 Walker Road, and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The awards serve as an opportunity to recognize local businesses and professionals for their contributions to the community. With nominations now closed, organizers are currently announcing finalists across a variety of categories, including Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Employer of the Year, New Business of the Year, and Business Legacy.
The chamber, which represents more than 130 member businesses and organizations, views the awards as a key moment to highlight local economic achievement. Several organizations are supporting the event through sponsorships, including the Town of Amherstburg, which is sponsoring the Employer of the Year award, and TD Canada, which is sponsoring the New Business of the Year award.
Dan Gemus, president of the Amherstburg Chamber of Commerce, noted that the event remains a significant gathering for the area. Last year, the awards brought together more than 200 attendees to celebrate local successes, and the chamber expects another strong turnout for this year’s festivities.
