The badminton team at Collège Stonewall Collegiate is celebrating a major victory after capturing the Zone 5 Senior Badminton Championship in 2026. The win adds to a busy season of athletic accomplishments for the school, which competes as the Rams in the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association AAA division.
The Town of Stonewall recently recognized the badminton team’s success through its municipal social media channels. In addition to the championship win, the town highlighted a series of recent sporting triumphs within the community.
These athletic achievements continue a long-standing tradition for the school, which serves approximately 575 students in grades 9 through 12. The Rams have historically earned provincial titles across several sports, including basketball, volleyball, hockey, golf, and track and field. Earlier this year, the school’s senior boys basketball team also showcased this competitive spirit by defeating the Westwood Warriors 76-61 on February 4, 2026.
Located in the Interlake region about 25 kilometres north of Winnipeg, Stonewall is home to 5,046 residents. The school, which operates under the Interlake School Division, remains a central hub for youth sports and community engagement in the area.
